Proximity
Why being first could help Ted Cruz's presidential hopes
This is proximity because Ted Cruz was the governor of Texas for a long time. This draws Texan (us) readers and interests people because they can relate to him and know he was part of Texas, in turn sparking the want to read.

Prominence

This is prominence because David Crosby is a figure in the US and he hit a jogger with his car.  This is newsworthiness because every mistake a celebrity makes, the press find out, especially when its an individual. This makes it newsworthy.

Impact
Troops notified their names are on Islamic State kill list
This is impact because now ISIS has stated it is going to try and kill these military men ad women.  The impact is new fear, and the troops being notified that they might be in danger.  Thesis caused officials to warm military families not to post stuff about their military lives on social media.

This is conflict because there is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which relates to us as you can tell in the article. Apparently there have been comments that Obama says we just can't ignore. Igniting more conflict.

1.  This is part of a winning sports photography portfolio because the coaches team just won and some of the players are celebrating by pouring water on the coach.
2. The shutter sped is probably really high because the lighting is good and the photographer wanted to freeze the human action an you can see the individual water droplets.
3. This isn't a key moments, its a safety shot because this is done after the game and was predictable.
4.  This could have been planned because usually this is what happens after a team wins, they pour water on the coach, so the photographer knew it would happen if they won, and wanted to get the shot. 5.  This was a reaction shot.  The photographer was able to get everything that was important in the frame, and it was the perfect moment.

Intro to Newspaper

1. My favorite Newspaper from page from the website was Times daily because the womans face and her earmuff caught my attention and made me want to look at the newspaper.
2. Grabryran: How much snow and Ice? was the title i was most interested in because its different than what I'm used to here in Texas, it being hot here.
3. There are 4 stories on the front page of my favorite
4. I notice that they all have a big title, with their name,  and photos for the stories they have.  They have, on average, about stories on all the front pages
5. Some things that vary on these front pages are the fonts, the sizes of the photos, and how the photos are set on the paper.  Each one is uniquely different, which is cool.

Commentary
Waiting until New Years to put off resolution goals for another year
This editorial gave the opinion that some people have when it comes to new years resolution.  The writer believes that New years resolution are pointless.  She says that usually they don't stick, some people get obsessed, and this can seriously harm someone. She thinks people shouldn't wait for a new year to change what they don't like about themselves.
Who: Gabby Bourjeacq
What: New Years resolution
Where: BHS
Why: She thinks they are pointless
How: Formed on her opinion

Basically the whole editorial was a quote.
the whole thing
yes the first line hooked me in
the last line was a statement from her

1. My favorite photo in the entire paper is the photo from "Evita Takes the stage."
1A.  This was my favorite photo because it is romantic and funny.
1B. The rules of photo composition that are evident here are rule of thirds, balance, and symmetry.

2.  My least favorite photo was the one from the science fair story
2A.  i didn't really like this one because it was sort of boring and i could have pictured some other better photo going for that story

3.  I think the event i would have like to take pictures for would be a soccer or tennis tournament.  I like to take action shots, and go to sports games, so that would have been fun for me to do.

4.  Overall, i would rate the photos in this issue a 3 out of 5. While some of them were good, most of them didn't have rules of composition, and were sort of bland.  They looked like they had been rushed.  What i did like was how the photographers got photo of the subject, nothing else.
